Wedding Weekend

An ultra quick post to say little more than the big day has come, I am on official bridesmaid duty tomorrow for my brother's wedding and here is a little look at where I'll be. Am incredibly nervous about the whole thing as (sad as it sounds) since I've been ill I've never slept away from home, so over four years, and the wedding means 3 days away. What with that and having to take the dog to be looked after is making the whole thing very stressful. I don't think it is a coincidence that 6 of us in immediate family have chipped our teeth this week (stressful tooth grinding).

The wedding venue ( I think it is from Tudor times)
Fingers crossed my brother has a lovely day. What I am learning is that my mother makes an awful client makeup wise, she is so demanding! Plus it is quite challenging trying to do makeup on someone other than myself, and someone 40 years older than me who hates makeup.

As I can't get through a post without directly relating it to beauty, my brother is heading to Hong Kong and Borneo for his honeymoon and as I have been wanting to try BB creams for ages, does anyone know if he should be able to get me a couple easily in Hong Kong? Which ones would you recommend? To have any hope of him bringing me back a present I need to be very specific!

See you all Monday when I might have some pictures, depending on how hideous I look in my bridesmaid get up! x

  1. BB creams are very easy to find in Hong Kong. Your best bet is to go to Sasa, Colourmix or Bonjour (they're all asian drugstore chains). I really recommend Lioele Triple the Solution BB cream, which you can get at Colourmix stores. Hope that helps! I'm from Hong Kong, so if you have any other questions feel free to drop me a message on my blog :) xxx

  2. Try the L'Egere White Multi BB Cream - hear it's one of the best! Have a great time at the wedding, and post pics if you get a moment x

  3. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll all have a wonderful time. It'll fly by too, I am sure xx

  4. What a gorgeous "cottage" to get married in! I hope the day was brilliant.

I imagine it would be easy to get BB creams in HK. I have tried Etude House and Missha (the latter which originates for S. Korea), and I love Missha. I use the color #21, which is called Light Beige, and even though it looks darker and more yellow than my skin, it blends in and does wonderful things. I should do a review soon, since it is ALL I have used for the last few weeks.

When you get home, you should see a dentist about a night guard for your grinding. I cracked a back tooth and eventually had to get a crown. No fun. :(

Now that the wedding is behind you, I hope you can enjoy yourself a bit.

  5. We all love the BB creams in Hongkong. I'm sure your brother can bring some for you. Meanwhile, just enjoy the wedding.
