|Lanolips Lip Ointment with colour in Apples|
Just a brief post today, been a crazily hectic week involving law finals, ambulances, A&E, physio, too much really, especially as it is only Wednesday! So tomorrow will hopefully be back to normal with a couple of longer posts dedicated to my MAC Venomous Villains purchases.
The good news for the week was that my lovely postman arrived this morning with my first ever Lanolips purchase. I got the tinted version in both Apples and Rhubarb having seen Grace London's pictures of them both and I am beyond thrilled.
I have been on a constant search for the past three years for a really good lip balm/treatment that will give some relief from sore, dry and chapped lips. From Creme De La Mer to Carmex and everything in between, I was losing hope, but Lanolips has saved the day.
As a serial teeth grinder, I have to wear a mouth guard at night, not pretty but serves a purpose, and this means I wake up in the morning with my lips in a terrible state. Not only do they look awful, they hurt as well. They are a nightmare to try to apply lipstick to and the balms I have been using, Gale Hayman Lip Lift and Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream at the moment, need reapplying every half hour.
I wasn't sure whether Lanolips would offer anything new but for me it is a makeup miracle. Containing over 60% ultra medical grade lanolin as well as vitamin E and natural oils, it applies easily with no greasiness and it doesn't feel heavy on the lips. I have only applied it twice today, once this morning and once this evening, and my lips finally feel comfortable. There is no stickiness and the beautiful colour it gives to lips is an added bonus.
At £7.99 for 12.5ml, they are cheap in comparison to what I had been using so I will definitely be stocking up on the other colours as well as the clear. Whoever engineered the brand's arrival in the UK has my eternal thanks!
Lanolips is now available in the UK at www.victoriahealth.com and prices start at £7.99.
