Q&A: What beauty products would you love to get your hands on from around the world?

In a recent phone call, my older brother let slip that he going to Dallas in a few weeks for work and I immediately begged him to take a trip to Sephora for me. Admittedly this was after trying to persuade him to pick me up Season 3 of True Blood, Swedish vampire Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) just about beats makeup any day. Is so unfair that we have to wait so long for Season 3 in the UK, Season 2 has only just started on Channel 4!

Anyway, back to beauty. if you are from Europe or Australia etc and had the chance to ask for a few items from America, or vice versa, what would be top of your list? I need some inspiration.

Benefit Femme Metale Set ($38)
I saw a pretty great Benefit creaseless shadow set that was a Sephora exclusive I think, Benefit Femme Metale Eye Makeup Kit ($38), and the Laura Mercier face palette in Bonne Mine, those are my current top two.

Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Palette

I would also love some Deborah Lippmann nail lacquers but I think they are coming to the UK anyway in October so I could do without till then.

What would be your must have beauty items from the States? If you are an American reading this, what products do you really rate? Any recommendations will be gladly received (although I think it will take much bribery or guilt tripping to get my brother to step foot in Sephora!).

  1. These are great choices already! The things I would pick up would be:

    - an Urban Decay Naked Palette
    - Boscia's Makeup Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil
    - travel-sized roll on fragrances
    - Sephora by OPI Rocker Chic mini collection
    - Lorac Colour Me Couture Eyeshadow palette (actually, any of their palettes would be great apart from the latest 'Private Affair'one)
    - a Tarte Cheek Stain

I hope you get a great range of products from your brother! :)

  2. Hi Dempeaux,
Thanks so much for your suggestions, I love roll on perfumes. Luckily I already have the Urban Decay Naked palette, using it daily. I have given my brother a list as he is in Dallas at the moment, but he is using meetings as an excuse to get out of visiting Sephora. I sense he may be getting a very poor Christmas present if he returns home empty handed!
