So today's question is which do you spend more on in a year, skincare or makeup?
As a teenager and when I was at university I spent all my money on makeup, I felt that skincare was a waste of money. The moment I started getting problem skin, noticing pigmentation and sun damage etc, I decided to totally change my approach, learning all I could about how to look after and protect my skin. This has proved quite costly so last year I definitely spent more on skincare, favouring Philosophy, Eve Lom and Elemis.
This year it probably works out about even, I have now worked out which skincare products work for me so I only buy what I need. This has allowed me to try a wider mix of makeup brands like By Terry, Laura Mercier and Chantecaille.
How about you, do you think skincare is a waste of money or do you prefer a more natural look using premium skincare brands?
